Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, our story began over 20 years ago as entrepreneur farmers with a vision of bringing fresh culinary herbs to the Eastern United States. A small business success story steeped in perseverance, Shenandoah Growers has today become a leading provider of fresh herbs in the United States, specializing in supplying the retail grocer. An ethical approach to business, tireless hard work, and going the extra mile for each other and our customers is what makes us as much family as a growing company.

Shenandoah Growers was founded by the late Ken Koehn and Mike Sarco

Timothy Heydon joined the company as President & CEO. At this time, the company employed about 20 individuals and operated in a 1000 square foot packing facility. There were 2 vans used for transportation to a handful of customers.

The packaging facility was expanded to 2100 square feet to meet the demands of the sales growth. The number of employees grew to about 60.

Shenandoah Growers began the Local Grower program, working with about 9 farms in the Rockingham and Augusta counties.

Construction began on the first USDA certified 80,000 square foot greenhouse, built to begin production of the Organic Living Herb product line.

The first plants were sold from the greenhouses.

To meet the strong demand of the Organic Living Herbs, construction of the second greenhouse was completed.

Expand greenhouse production facility to over 213,000 square feet of greenhouse production and 35,000 square feet of fresh cut
herb packing.

Opened a fresh cut packing facility and mid-west transportation hub in Indianapolis and expanded product distribution to 4K retail outlets.

Poultry house to Organic greenhouse, innovation at SG. Investment into old structures and overgrown farmland that once housed turkeys for poultry production have been transformed into an organic growing system.

Opened transport hub in Atlanta to service southeast region with
next day delivery.

Integrated growing and packaging facilities in Georgia, Texas and Indiana
